Because Batman Is Too Mainstream

24 Jul

…for bitter people like us, who weren’t able to get tickets for the Batman movie (July21).

It’s the premier week of one of the most anticipated movies this year, Batman:Dark Knight Rises. Many people are lining up, wanting to see it on the first week (to avoid all the movie spoilers and to actually be the movie spoiler). We are one of those many people. Unfortunately, we ran out of tickets.

We were supposed to see the movie in Trinoma after we finish working out at The Block (SM North Edsa). We forgot to first buy the tickets before working out, so yeah, you know what happened next. We mall-hopped to Eastwood (of course asked for the schedules first before we did) but then again, the luck was against us.

Would we let Batman ruin our Saturdate? Definitely not. Of course not. Hell no!

Since Eastwood has always been a delightful place to be, rain or shine, we just decided to wander around together, appreciating everything that was poured onto us that night- rain, people, squeaky funny clowns, food, lights.

We were both dead starving, from hours of working out, when we got to Libis. So our first detour activity was to EAT the jinx away. Our grumbling stomachs lead us to Pancake House. (I just want to note that this will not be a food blog. You won’t see any reviews, price list or whatsoever. Even if I wanted to make this as such, I was too hungry to even take food blog worthy photos) Everything was heavenly especially their Banana Waffle, which I wasn’t able to take a photo of. The crew was even very gracious enough to give us free chocolate syrup for the waffle.

After our supper, we ran into Eastwood Mall’s Weekend Gourmet Market. That was not our first time seeing their weekend organic and sweet treats inside the mall. The last times we were there, however, we did not bother looking around. But since we’ve got a lot of hours to spare, we gave them a shot. Upon going through some of the stalls and having tasted some of their products for free, we didn’t leave the market empty handed.

We bought a Tomato-Garlic Ready-To-Serve Gourmet Pasta Sauce. All these pasta sauces are all natural, uses olive oil and have no preservatives added.

The rain was getting angrier and we’ve ran out of place to go, so we decided to hit the road, not to go home just yet, but to go some place else. We thought that we haven’t gone bowling for a long time already and we haven’t done it together, so we decided to go to Playdium, a bowling and billiards place, in Araneta Ave, Quezon City.

I have never been there before that’s why I was excited to try this place out. We really had fun bowling together, laughing whenever our bowling balls go to the gutter. I lost two games (terrible lost at game 1 and close one at game 2) against him and I’ll be defensive about it. I was wearing a freakin’ maxi dress that day, making my movements constrained. HAHAHA! But yeah, I lost. For the record though, I was the first one who got a strike (for a moment I thought I was going to win round 2). We both were overjoyed that night (if you’d look at my face right now while I’m typing this, you would probably say I’m crazy, making all these random grins by myself. :p) and we intend to have a rematch this weekend. :)

I’ll be updating you how it will go on our next match. :D

Xoxo,

CHAMMY ♥

PS: We still intend to watch BATMAN. :)
